There is something special about a photograph.
Long after a journey has ended, after the suitcases have been unpacked and everyday life has returned, a single image can transport us back to a moment in time. The sound of the ocean, the cold wind on a cliff, the excitement of discovering a new place, or the quiet happiness of sharing an experience with someone you love—all of it can return in an instant.
This is the reason I started this blog.
In my professional life, I work as a Partner at BearingPoint. Much of my time is spent helping organizations navigate change, technology, and transformation. It is a fascinating world, but also a fast-moving one. Photography gives me the opportunity to slow down, observe, and appreciate the details that are often overlooked.
Together with my husband, I am fortunate to travel to many remarkable places. From bustling city streets to remote landscapes and wild coastlines, every destination has its own story. This blog is my personal way of preserving those stories and sharing them with others.
I am not a professional photographer, nor do I aspire to be one. Photography is a hobby that allows me to document experiences, emotions, and memories. My goal is not to create perfect images but to capture authentic moments that reflect how a place felt rather than simply how it looked.
Today, I photograph almost exclusively with a Fujifilm X-E5. What I love most about the Fujifilm system are its film simulations. They encourage a more intentional way of shooting and help me create images with character directly in camera.
In an age where photography often involves extensive post-processing, I take a different approach. I rarely shoot with the intention of editing RAW files for hours afterward. Instead, I enjoy making creative decisions before pressing the shutter—choosing the light, composition, and film simulation that best capture the mood of the moment. For me, photography happens in the field, not behind a computer screen.
This philosophy allows me to stay connected to the experience itself. The camera becomes a companion on the journey rather than a tool for creating work later. The photographs you will find here are therefore not heavily manipulated representations of a place. They are memories captured as authentically as possible.
Through this blog, I hope to share not only photographs but also the stories behind them—the places we visit, the people we meet, the landscapes that inspire us, and the moments that make travel so rewarding.
Thank you for joining me on this journey.
